About this Location

The USO Lounge at Washington Dulles International Airport is open daily and serves as a home away from home for our troops and their families as they travel the globe in defense of our nation. Support services include something as simple as a cup of coffee and a quiet place to relax, finding lodging in emergencies, retrieving critical travel orders that have been misplaced, or making that last phone call before deployment.

This Lounge also serves as one of the main transfer points for our “Families of the Fallen” service program by providing respite and comfort to grieving families traveling to witness the return of their loved ones or to attend memorial services. Dedicated USO volunteers provide these family members with travel assistance, take care of their immediate on-site needs, and often times simply lend an understanding shoulder.

Note: Showers available through partnered organizations & hotels.

Programs at this Location

As most of us volunteers are former military personnel, we understand these situations and we know what these people are going through. It brings me joy when I'm able to help anyone - from that spouse to every young family experiencing permanent change of station moves. These are situations I've been in and are absolutely the reason I continue to volunteer with the USO
